Description:
This painting captures a specific moment—a dream I had just before the days of revolution. It felt like the boundary between the safety of home and the chaos of the streets had disappeared, creating a strange tension between security and anxiety.
Everything in the room is suspended. The checkered floor symbolizes duality—good and evil, stability and instability—like walking on a razor’s edge between fear and hope, a game we are always living in.
I see myself as the winged woman—not escaping, but protecting what is most vulnerable and precious, even while uncertain if the safety she feels is real or just a dream.
Two symbols enter from the outside world: the rooster, representing awakening and awareness, and the peacock lamp, a source of light and insight in the darkness, searching for truth.
The empty mirror and arched doorway suggest a passage—where identity is lost, and a new one has not yet formed. Familiar things feel strange, as we stand on the edge of a new world.
And in the corner, a cat plays with a ball of yarn. While everything feels tense and uncertain, the cat remains calm and playful. For me, the yarn represents the tangled threads of life and fate, and the cat shows that despite everything, life quietly goes on.
